It all started with an online contest launched by the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec. Following a random draw, a jury studied the files of the participants and selected two teams of New Yorkers, including Jean Marie and Christopher. This is how they came to enjoy a memorable trip in Quebec, in order to share the details of their one-of-a-kind experience with you.

Day 4, video 4.3: Jean Marie and Christopher enjoy the winter carnival in Québec City. “A definite highlight was the snow sculptures! We toured first the local, then the national, and finally the international sites. The competition is straightforward: each entrant is given the same-sized block of frozen snow (though the size varies across competitions, with international artists given blocks the size of small buildings, three or four times larger than those allotted to local artists).”
